Creativity is my game

Social Change is my aim

So... I combined the two!

Mira Awad

Creativity for Social Change

Three brand new creative workshops, designed to inspire and motivate social change.

1.In their shoes

A Writing and Theatrical games Workshop for Empathy.

The workshop gives a peek into the world of writing, and borrows tools of character-development from the world of acting. All in the purpose of humanizing the other, and literally standing in their shoes.

We will play games through which we ARE the other, and thus we can look through their eyes, and understand their motivation, needs, pains and pleasures..

Duration: 2 hours.

* No need for previous skills or knowledge.

* Suitable for a wide range of ages.

* For teenagers: The workshop is a tool for empathy development, and for acceptance of the different.

* For teams: The ability to map the needs of a client, or of other team members. And/or dealing with a diverse working environment.

2.Song for life

A Song Writing Workshop for Social Change.

Come write a song about the social agenda you care the most about.

The workshop takes the participant on a step by step journey, from harnessing inspiration all the way to a stylised song. By the end of the workshop, all participants perform a song they wrote during the workshop.

Duration: 2.5 - 3 hours.

No need for previous skills or knowledge.

* Suitable for a wide range of ages.

* For teens: The workshop encourages and expands social involvement.

* For activists: An exercise in engaging messaging.

3.Painting a together

A collaborative painting workshop.

Perfect for team building!

We learn how to accept ourselves, and what naturally comes out of us. Then we learn how to deal with the input of others in our lives and work. We might not always like it, but we don’t live in a vacuum. Other people have an impact on many aspects of our lives, and our careers. How can we be fully in charge, while allowing the contribution of others? How do we facilitate the input of others and even maximize on it?

* No need for previous skills or knowledge.

* Suitable for a wide range of ages.

* Teens: The workshop accentuates the value of collaboration.

* Teams: The workshop is built on two pillars: 1. Leadership abilities 2. Collaboration style.
